Thoughts come and go

Thoughts come and go. Feelings come and go. Desires come and go.

101 of daily inward living: You are not your thoughts, feelings or desires. It’s a popular thing to say now days and it is kinda true yet they do constitute how you come out as a person. They might become a part of your becoming. You are free to align with them or remove them. If you feel pressured by them, that’s a sign to explore your heart and observe your bodily reactions to investigate further. There is a good info into looking into them, questioning them and realizing that sometimes you became their servant or that they paralyze you or that they oppress you, overwhelm you or control you. It’s better to examine your thoughts, feelings and desires under the light of the Holy Spirit. The Examen is a prayerful movement that enables you to explore prayerfully and safely what’s happening, to judge what is good and what is troublesome and to be thankful for all goodness and repent immediately from what you did wrong. If your thoughts are ruminating around your head, stop it with the Word. If your feelings are flooding you and you freeze or fight or flee or fawn, it’s ok. It’s not the end and it’s not your core. It’s just a bit of info to deal with. Sing, sigh, stretch is good remedy to snap out of some of them. What lies beneath will come around. Prayer is always greet because we go to the One Who Knows your mystery. He is the best grounding, glorious and good option to open up to.

Every day is full of surprises. Call on the Holy Spirit to sort out the mystery of you for you, inside you. You were made for greatness but it’s gonna take a while to submit to the daily school of prayer, presence and participation. And that’s ok. Don’t give into the pressure for sainthood without getting sanity first. Begin again. If in despair, call a friend. A Friend might show up.
