Who would think two years ago that we would have conversations about the meaning of life and explore faith with the Hollywood actors, producers and writers in an apartment next to the iconic Sunset Boulevard (Hollywood Walk of Fame)? Our 1st Alpha @Stone to Flesh - Hollywood took place in a relaxing atmosphere and provided a platform for a lively discussion.

Fr. Nouwen said that the three pressures to become relevant, popular and powerful can interfere with serving people. Actually, they can become the driving force and become strongholds which will overpower our ability to see, choose and decide clearly.
The pressure to become relevant (networking) has to be resolved by focusing on ‘one thing’ that truly matters in the context of eternity and living from a place of brokenness, not comparison, leading into becoming poor in the spirit and having real impact.

The pressure to become popular (influencer) has to be resolved by living from the place and time of Presence, where we cultivate hiddenness in the Sacred Heart, wounded and infused with Love that heals false pretenses and identities.

The pressure to become powerful (leaders without restrain aka celebrities) is resolved by detouring strength and releasing it through meekness that is produced by walking in docility to the Spirit who does not seek glory but gives without end. - @iwonabednarzmajor
