Join us for the Pentecost Vigil Mass, June 8, 2019, 8pm

pentecost novena: May 31 - June 8

We are praying for the Holy Spirit to be released in our hearts in a full measure so we can enter into the Trinitarian mystery and embrace the reality of life led by the Spirit.

Without the Holy Spirit,
God is distant,
Christ is merely a historical figure,
the Gospel is a dead letter,
the Church is just an organization,
authority is domination,
mission is propaganda,
liturgy is only nostalgia,
and the work of Christians is slave labor.

But with the Holy Spirit,
Christ is risen and present,
the Gospel is a living force,
the Church is a communion in the life of the Trinity,
authority is a service that sets the people free,
mission is Pentecost,
the liturgy is memory and anticipation,
and the labor of Christians is divinized.
— Bishop Ignatius Hazim of Latakia

Stone to Flesh Community Novena (novena is a prayer prayed for nine days) before Pentecost will focus on the praying LECTIO DIVINA (DIVINE READING) using Mass readings from the PENTECOST Extended Vigil (June 8, 2019) which we will celebrate together.

We pray for each other, our families, friends and Community brothers and sisters, united in Jesus’ powerful name.
