Satan as the Light emmanating God's glory chose himself above God. That’s unreasonable behavior. He is super intelligent not rational. A reasonable creature would choose being loved and loving which is based on mutual giving and receiving because love requires a relationship to exist. So, rational creature chooses love and being loved above starting and ending within and on SELF because that leads nowhere and is driven and produces only pride. God's self is Three and His self-Love is personal, oriented within but on the continual giving and receiving. The center is moving with Love given.

Pride is focusing on self instead on The Other, your Maker, our Source of happiness. Pride is about becoming the static center of the world. Love is about being transformed by the object of love and its power. Prided is single-minded, love forms beauty in its solidarity.

Being irrational is stupid because it cuts off our link to glory.

Satan's gravitational pull is himself. God's gravitational pull is Love between the Father and the Son, personalized. There is nothing egoistic within God. The only thing and everything about Satan is ego.

Pride is like a black hole. Love is like a pull between cosmic matter making you a new star. A black hole sucks you in and you disintegrate in its pull. Love emanates from you and you become whole in its dance, united with the One who pulls you in. Pride limits your perception of life, love expands it.

We don’t become more saintly when we focus on self. I know. Not a trendy opinion in the midst of a self-help and self-care mania that overtook our brains, wallets, and relationships.

Satan’s self-obsession is irrational.

Our self-obsession is irrational.

Our self-abandonment in God is rational. It leads to an End that is the Beginning.
