Necessary doubt
Doubt is necessary in becoming a disciple of Jesus.
Doubt is a friend of common sense.
Doubt is a sister of discernment.
Jesus asked very many questions to his followers so they can revisit their ways of thinking, feeling, beliefs, lifestyles, choices.
Doubt your feelings about your spiritual experiences. Check your wounds and grief before following their prompts. Check your forgiveness artery and anger veins often.
Doubt your thoughts while being sucked into whatever you go after. Your desires might be great but your mind might deceive your ego. Shadows are known to veil reasoning. Educate your mind.
Doubt your visions, internal voices, anything you perceive as supernatural. All saints said that. It doesn’t mean you don’t have them, although it also might be the case. It could be that you had them but you can not recognize their meaning yet because your spiritual senses are not educated in the school of Jesus’ Spirit yet. That education must come from those who signed up to the way of Truth.
When bathed in love of Jesus, doubt is your life-long companion of trusting Him.
