Hildegard Novena
Sometimes people rely on the supernatural without respecting the natural. Sometimes people rely on the natural and disregard the supernatural.
Science gives some explanation about the gift of life, discovering the neurobiological, electromagnetic, physical, energetic processes of the body which aim at self-regulating and healing what is disturbed.
Continual harmonization of all aspects of human being’s life and function is what God intended for us to walk through on this earth.
Sometimes, what some would call supernatural is natural applied correctly. Sometimes just by providing safe environment for triggering God-given self-healing is impossible to track as supernatural or natural because they overlap to the extend that is scientifically or spiritually impossible to divide.
Grace of God triggering the nervous system to provide optimal physical state in any given moment (during prayer or therapy or viewing sunset or talking to a friend) to unblock the ‘stronghold’ of trauma or biochemical unbalance or emotions ‘stored’ in our bodies lead to a process or instantaneous chain reaction of body’s and soul’s aligning and agreeing to calm, restore, renew, and recreate.
Join 9-days long free introduction to a medieval polymath, newest female Doctor of the Church, Hildegard von Bingen, who combined natural and supernatural understanding of wholeness and interdependence of body, soul and spirit. Novena prayer, Sept. 8 -16 (followed by Ember Days Fast)

Watch and Pray
Join us next Friday at St. Philips in Pasadena, 7:00-9:00pm to pray, remain with Him, adore the cross, and enter into the darkness of Christ crucified.
We will be inside the church, please wear masks inside and social distance, remaining in groups of families.
Tenebrae (Lat. darkness) is an ancient Holy Week service of shadows where we mournfully chant and read the Liturgy of the Hours, other Scriptures with commentaries while distinguish each candle’s light until darkness surrounds the sanctuary.
What will happen? You will be enveloped in sounds and visuals that will take you to the Passion, Death and Silence of Christ. Additionally to what is described above, we will sing Taize songs, expend Liturgy of the Hours by meditative singing Lectio Divina based on the Psalms. Our focus is intercessory prayer for various intentions since Good Friday is the day when the whole Church intercedes continually for the world to receive the salvation of Christ.
LENT: Night of Worship and Adoration
Worship, adoration, silence, chanted Night Prayer. Ministry Teams praying for physical, emotional, spiritual healing will be available.
This First Friday Adoration will be held inside. We ask all participants to adhere to diocesan guidelines (wear face coverings and practice social distancing - sit in the family clusters).
It is family-friendly Adoration so bring kids with you!
