St. Hildegard of Bingen, one of the four female Doctors of the Church, lived in the 12th century but her wisdom shines through the ages. Without a doubt, she was one of the biggest influencers of her time (including popes, monasteries, people at large) and the combination of her natural and supernatural gifts, as well as remedies, are perplexing, fascinating, and inspiring people until today. Her holistic approach supplies people living in the modern culture with ageless and tested advice.

Physical healing is almost impossible without removing STRESS causes.

Cortisol is the body’s primary stress hormone. It wakes you up in the morning, helps regulate inflammation and keeps the pain away. Every time your brain perceives stress - emotional conflict, over-scheduling, lack of sleep, skipped meals, chemical exposure, pathogens circling in your body, even excessive fasting - your adrenal glands release cortisol. This triggers your liver to release stored sugar into your blood so you can “fight or flee.” Once this becomes a chronic reaction to chronic stressors, your blood glucose becomes chronically elevated ot disregulated, the excess fat you want to burn is trapped, your lean muscles are getting smaller, your emotional stability is disrupted, your cravings are out of control, your immune system is compromised, unpredictable and hard to deal with weight gain and burnout are behind the corner, you end up wired but tired or exhausted.

  • Spelt is the best grain for the human body: it is 100% absorbent, has all of the nine building amino acids needed for proper function, anti-carcinogen substances, many vitamins (including A, E, D, B1, B2, B6), and minerals (iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus) that other staple foods don’t have.

    Its structure has different protein and gluten than wheat and that’s why it is often well tolerated by those who are gluten intolerant. It builds up the immune system, is anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergic, lowers cholesterol, strengthens the neurological system and heart, fights the formulation of new cancer cells, and increases vitality and good mood.

    It is highly advisable to eliminate wheat and introduce spelt to all people who suffer from:

Instructor: Iwona Bednarz-Major

For years, I’ve been drawn to holistic healing that integrates both the natural and the supernatural. With a background in anesthesiology, intensive care nursing, and healing ministry, I’m passionate about exploring modern medicine alongside forgotten natural remedies and the wisdom of the saints guided by God. I believe many healing ways are still waiting to be rediscovered and integrated.

In June 2025, I completed the Third Degree Specialist program in St. Hildegard’s Sciences, issued by the Papal Faculty of Theology in Wroclaw, Poland and Polish Center of St. Hildegard® Dr. Alfreda Walkowska, where I had previously studied theology. This program prepared me for using Hildegard’s diagnostic system and the integration of spirituality, lifestyle, and healing according to her wisdom and knowledge. Over the past three years, I’ve deepened my knowledge through experts in theology, philosophy, medicine, Benedictine spirituality, music, and Hildegard’s remedies. Through my Lectio Divina and School of the Heart courses with Stone to Flesh, I’ve already shared Hildegard’s mystical experiences, prophetic insights, natural medicine, music, leadership, and community-building.

Later this summer I will become Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner to add modern scientific lab work and coaching.
